Fund for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Conservation — list of schemesOpen the source — document in EnglishThis is our explanation of a document written by someone else, and we can be wrong. It is not legal or tax advice: the decision is made by the authority.
Support for solar equipment in Cyprus is handed out by the Fund for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Conservation, which publishes its schemes as a list of open and closed ones. This page describes what that list said when we last read it.
What is on the open list
Two schemes of 2026 stand in the open part of the list, both of them for solar water heating. The fund names them «CATEGORY H1: SOLAR WATER HEATING — GENERAL CATEGORY» and «CATEGORY H2: SOLAR WATER HEATING — VULNERABLE HOUSEHOLDS».
The second one is addressed to vulnerable households, which is the only difference the list itself states between the two.
What is not on it
The photovoltaic schemes — categories A1, A2 and A3 — are not among the open ones. They sit in the closed part of the list.
Installers still speak about photovoltaic support, so it is worth checking the list yourself rather than the recollection of a conversation.
Where the amounts and deadlines are
The list page publishes neither the size of a grant nor the dates for submitting an application. Both live on the page of each individual scheme.
We do not repeat them here. A sum or a deadline copied onto this page would be right on the day it was copied and wrong afterwards, and it is the fund that changes them, not us.
The seven-year warranty
Companies in category A1 of the registry undertake to give a warranty of at least seven years.
That is a condition of the programme, the same for everyone on the list. It is not an advantage of a particular company, and it says nothing about how any of them work.
What the registry entry does not say
Being on the list means one thing: the company is recorded in it. It is not a licence, not an inspection of completed work and not a recommendation from us.
You can check any company yourself in the official registry, and the same is true of everything on this page: the fund list is one click away and it is the version that counts.
